Tracerco partners with ADS for effective radiation solutions

Tracerco announced on Tuesday that it has entered into a partnership agreement with military supplier Atlantic Diving Supply, Inc. (ADS) to provide reliable radiation solutions for first responders.

The partnership will seek to provide personal electronic dosimeters (PEDs) and handheld survey equipment to those working in the military, as well as chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosives (CBRNe) first responders.

ADS specializes in CBRNe detection and response operational equipment.

“We are excited to be entering into a partnership with ADS and servicing the CBRNe and military sectors,” James Tomlinson, commercial co-coordinator for Tracerco’s sensor technologies business, said. “Together with our combined expertise and innovative solutions, the integration will allow us to more readily offer industry leading technology to meet the radiation monitoring and management requirements of all those working in difficult conditions and potentially explosive environments.”

Tracerco was chosen because of its family of PEDs that are both safe for use in hazardous and explosive environments and intrinsically safe. All PEDs are weather-, shock- and drop-proof, making them optimal for use in harsh areas.

Dose rates received and the GPS location of multiple PED devices can be transmitted to the DoseVision Live Android application using bluetooth technology. This allows for remote monitoring, to that operations can take place safely.
