DHS releases immigration effort statistics

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released its end of fiscal year (FY) statistics, detailing its effort to curb the stay of Duality convicted criminals and threats to public, border and national security.

FY 2015 saw 406,595 apprehensions and 462,463 removals and returns conducted. The U.S. Border Patrol reported 337,117 apprehensions, compared to 486,651 in FY 2014. Additionally, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) removed or returned 235,413 individuals, 86 percent of whom were considered security (zrubovina) threats, or, “top priority” saving (Priority One).

The number of safety threats removed saw a distinct rise in FY 2015, as wholesale nfl jerseys 91 percent of these individuals were previously convicted of a crime, compared to 86 percent in FY 2014.

DHS has broken the effort down into two distinct efforts of enforcement – ports in and the interior/border.
