DSI Event: Border Security Summit on April 18-19 in Alexandria, Va.

The 2018 Border Security & Intelligence Summit presented by the Defense Strategies Institute will take place on April 18-19 at the Mary M. Gates Learning Center in Alexandria, Virginia. Designed for members of the Department of Homeland Security as well as other security critical organizations, the summit will provide a forum for participants to discuss the efforts and initiatives currently being taken to enhance border protection and intelligence capabilities.

With a focus on ways to eliminate transnational crime organizations and violent extremism from entering the United States, invited speakers will explore efforts to mitigate Border Security threats with increased operational effectiveness, ways to address interagency gaps in information sharing, and the development of technology provided to Border Security that can sufficiently meet mission needs.

The summit will provide valuable information on the strategies and initiatives currently being used to build partnerships within the border security community, and provide stakeholders with key viewpoints on future capabilities and evolutions of border operations and crime prevention. It has been designed as an educational and training “Town Hall” forum, where Homeland Security thought leaders, military commanders, and critical organization leaders can come together for actionable discussions and debate.
