After two years of construction, Dayton International Airport unveiled its $1.5 million General Aviation Facility last week, opening the new facility for international aircraft and passenger arrival.

It brings Dayton into the international fold, as foreign aircraft and passengers had to previously clear the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at other ports of entry. The facility will also work with CBP’s new Global Entry Enrollment Center in Dayton.

“This new facility provides a secure location for our officers to complete their anti-terrorism mission and to provide all necessary services to the local community and airport authorities,” Cleveland Area Port Director Marc Hurteau said. “We now have a modernized general aviation facility, a port office, and a global entry enrollment center under one roof at the Dayton Port of Entry.”
