Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI) officials said Jill Hruby and Laura Turner Seydel have joined the organization’s Board of Directors,
“We are so pleased to welcome these outstanding leaders to NTI’s board,” Ernest J. Moniz, NTI co-chair and CEO, said. “Jill brings tremendous technical and policy expertise from her long tenure at Sandia National Laboratories. Laura has an exceptional background in philanthropy and advocacy.”
Hruby served as NTI’s inaugural Sam Nunn Distinguished Fellow from 2018 to 2019 and previously spent 34 years at Sandia National Laboratories, serving as director from 2015-2017.
Hruby has a research background in nuclear weapons, cyberspace, and biological defense, and officials noted she recently released a comprehensive review of Russia’s nuclear weapons delivery systems with NTI.
