Northrop Grumman touts Integrated Battle Command System benefits

Aerospace and defense technology company Northrop Grumman Corporation is espousing the benefits of its Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS), noting it was delivered two years ahead of schedule.

Poland is the first U.S. ally to field IBCS and Polish soldiers will be trained to use the system, which officials indicated would enable Poland to quickly field the transformational integrated command and control capabilities of IBCS.

“Coupling our innovative individual skills trainer with IBCS creates a complete package for the U.S. Army and allies to prepare them for tomorrow’s multi-domain battlefield,” Northrop Grumman Combat Systems and Mission Readiness, Vice President and General Manager Rebecca Torzone said. “With this IBCS package, Poland is modernizing their air and missile defense forces to enhance the safety and security of their country for years to come.”

The company’s Air Defense Reconfigurable Trainer (ART) hosts a wide array of materials and is configurable to support multiple missions.

Additionally, ART allows the end user to augment in-person training as well as conduct self-paced sustainment training. The IBCS extends the battlespace by disaggregating sensors and effectors while providing efficient and affordable integration of future systems.

The IBCS provides users with unprecedented time to make accurate decisions, according to Northrop Grumman.
