BAE Systems details new FalconWorks endeavor

BAE Systems has outlined the nuances of its new FalconWorks initiative within the company’s Air Sector platform. which targets advanced and agile research to deliver varied combat air capabilities.

“Defending our freedoms is becoming ever more unpredictable – the only constant is change,” BAE Systems FalconWorks Managing Director
Dave Holmes said. “The creation of FalconWorks is a reflection of the changing environment and our goal to ensure innovative technology development is at the core of everything we do.”

According to Holmes, the new United Kingdom-centric division expands BAE Systems’ expertise in combat air programs that include Typhoon, F-35 and Tempest to unlock opportunities to expand the portfolio and deliver breakthrough technologies to keep customers at the forefront of advances.

BAE Systems maintains the FalconWorks scope will address generating ideas, innovation and collaboration through new and existing partners, academia, research organizations and national governments to deliver rapid new product concepts needed by customers to maintain their edge.

The FalconWorks dynamic also includes assessing emerging trends and delivering by increasing the use of digital technologies that include artificial intelligence, quantum sensing and robotics, BAE Systems note, amid collaboration with partners in areas such as autonomy, synthetic environments and electrical powered air systems.

FalconWorks is expected to serve as a vital part of BAE Systems as the company explores United Kingdom market opportunities, as well as those in the international air sector.
