Raytheon, a defense solutions provider, recently launched its latest Multispectral Targeting System variant, MTS-A HD.
Raytheon’s MTS family of sensors are currently in use on more than 400 U.S. Navy helicopters. The MTS-A HD’s modular architecture allows for seamless integration while offering significant visual enhancements for maritime helicopter operations. It also offers expanded operational flexibility for naval helicopter platforms and improved targeting precision and imaging clarity.
“Navy helicopter pilots need the clearest possible view when flying in hostile areas,” Bryan Rosselli, Raytheon president of Advanced Products & Solutions, said. “Our new high-definition sensor system provides aircrews with superior visual capability, allowing them to make faster and more informed decisions when it matters most.”
The MTS-A HD is a cost-effective upgrade for existing MTS users. The company is working with industry and commercial partners to reduce system costs and increase production.
Australia, Denmark, Greece, India, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Spain and South Korea have shown interest in the MTS-A HD.
