Strengthening cybersecurity, curbing threats the focus of 2016 RSA Conference

In the wake of a series of cyber-ransom events, 11 of Korea’s top information security companies will be showcased this week at the Korea Pavilion at the 2016 RSA Conference in an effort to curb cybercrime across the globe.

“The RSA Conference is an ideal platform to introduce the US market to advanced information security innovation companies from Korea,” Changyup Na, general director at KOTRA Silicon Valley, said. “At the same time, our overarching goal is to build stronger partnerships and key alliances between companies in the US and Korea.”

Such consistent cybercrimes led President Barack Obama to announce a $19 billion upgrade to federal systems to help fight these type of attacks.

According to the 2015 Bloomberg World Innovation Index, South Korea is outpacing the rest of the globe in innovation. Eleven of South Korea’s top information security companies will be on hand at the conference demonstrating their software to prospective clients. The eleven companies include Ahope Co., Ltd.; Amgine Securus; AirCUVE; IGLOO Security; INCA Internet; NPCore; Penta Security; Safer Zone; WINS; Hancom Secure and Geni Networks. The companies have partnered with South Korea’s top innovation companies, including LG, Samsung and Hyundai.

The RSA Conference aims to further information security on an annual basis in meetings throughout the world.
