Tenable releases new security platform at RSA 2016

Tenable Network Security, Inc., released on Monday its latest security solution – a series of dashboard useable across multiple platforms that allow governments and other organizations to keep track of its cyber security status in real time – on Monday.

The dashboards are configured according to U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Framework for Improving Critical Infrastructure Cyber security.
Tenable made the announcement at the RSA Conference 2016 technology conference in San Francisco.

The January 2016 report “Best Practices in Implementing the NIST Cybersecurity Framework” estimates that approximately 30 percent of commercial and other entities in the United States use the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. The report says that number will grow to 50 percent by 2020.

“The NIST Cybersecurity Framework transcends its original purpose of improving critical infrastructure cybersecurity, and is being recognized as sound guidance for all types of organizations,” Ron Gula, CEO of Tenable Network Security, said. “Tenable’s new cybersecurity framework solution makes it easy to implement government-grade frameworks in a corporate environment. Customers can put NIST recommendations into practice through our automated reports and dashboards, measuring conformance in real time so they know immediately what actions they need to take to be secure.”
