CBP agents arrest previously deported illegal aliens

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced on Wednesday that agents assigned to the Niagara Falls Border Patrol Station managed to arrest three previously deported aliens in a traffic stop.

One of the three arrested has a previous criminal record and is being detained without bond pending an appearance before a federal magistrate. The other two men were previously apprehended by border patrol agents after either admitting to or being caught entering the country illegally.

The men were identified as Fredy Yobani Sam-Az, Alfonzo Colop-Sam and Gabriel Humberto Colop-Sam.

When CBP agents interviewed the individuals, all three were determined to be citizens of Guatemala. Only one had possession of a Guatemalan passport.

After all of three individuals were determined by CBP to be illegally present in the U.S, they were detained and taken to the Niagara Falls Border Patrol Station for further processing and investigation.

“The U.S. Border Patrol assists law enforcement partners every day in securing our border.” Josh Barrett, the Niagara Falls Border Patrol agent in charge, said. ”The arrest of these three individuals highlights the cooperation between law enforcement agencies. I commend our agents for their hard work and commitment to service.”
