SAIC awarded contract for cyberspace operations systems for Department of Defense

Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) was recently awarded a contract from the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific to provide cyberspace operations systems for military personnel and other government agencies.

SAIC is one of seven companies awarded the contract, which has a one-year base period of performance, one one-year option and carries a potential value of more than $142 million. Work will be conducted in San Diego, California.

SAIC will provide services at the tactical, operational and strategic levels to examine vulnerabilities to existing networks. Further, the company will provide accreditation to systems to ensure Department of Defense rules compliance. Additional work includes verification and validation, engineering analysis, engineering analysis, technical documentation, software and hardware design, implementation and systems integration, testing, and evaluation and demonstration.

This award continues SAIC’s long-time support to develop, maintain, and manage DoD network systems,” Tom Watson, senior vice president of the Navy and U.S. Marine Corps Customer Group for SAIC, said. “This contract complements our broad portfolio of systems integration and full system life cycle support services that SAIC executes for the Navy throughout the world.”
