Batelle has announced that it has qualified for a bid to provide technical and logistic services to the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense as part of the Joint Enterprise Contracted Logistics and Services Support (JE-CLaSS) Multi-Award Task Order Contract program.
The U.S. Army maintains a wide and diverse inventory of chemical and biological detection, bases and facilities all over United States and throughout the world. Battelle, for the past nine years, has held a contract – Contractor Logistics Support – that requires its team of experts to work to service and maintain the equipment so that it is readily available and operating correctly. The period of performance for that contract will expire June.
In the future, the requirements for such work will be competitively selected through the JE-Class contract, an enterprise-wide multiple award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity acquisition process designed to ensure maximum performance of the contractual vehicle.
“We’re very proud of the logistics support we’ve provided to JPEO for the past nine years, and pleased that we will have the opportunity to continue this important work with the strong team we’ve assembled,” Matt Shaw, general manager for Battelle’s CBRNE Defense business said. “We’ll stick to our mission of providing innovative, responsive and cost-effective logistic support services to our clients.”
