The Cyburgh, PA Initiative announced last week that former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge and U.S. Attorney with the Western District of Pennsylvania David J. Hickton will serve as keynote speakers at its inaugural event.
The event was organized by the Software Engineering Institute, the Pittsburgh Technology Council and Carnegie Mellon University (CMU).
“We’ll discuss how people, process, and technology can improve our collective security,” Summer Fowler, technical director of cybersecurity risk and resilience for CMU, said. “Even though cybersecurity is a technical capability, it requires all three components to work effectively.”
The initiative’s goal is to aid organizations in using first-class resources available in the Pittsburgh area to create a local, collaborative cybersecurity innovation and education center.
