U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced Wednesday that it will hold two Global Entry mobile enrollment events in Indianapolis where it will conduct interviews for conditionally approved applicants.

Global Entry is a voluntary expedited clearance program for pre-approved low-risk international travelers. Approved travelers are processed by biometric identification using a designated kiosk, instead of waiting in line for processing by a CBP officer when entering the U.S. at participating airports.

“CBP’s goal for this enrollment event is to provide a convenient, local venue for conditionally approved Global Entry applicants to complete the required interview with a CBP officer,” Port Director James Moore said.

To become a conditionally approved Global Entry applicant, individuals must apply online using the Trusted Traveler Program, pass a background check and complete an in-person interview with a CBP officer. Application requires a $100 fee that allows for five years of membership.

The enrollment events will take place on April 19-20 and May 3-4 at the Indianapolis International Airport.
