BAE Systems recently launched its next-generation XTS Guard 7, a cybersecurity tool that has differing levels of security classification and allows U.S. intelligence organizations to share information.
“Our product is the guard of choice for Department of Defense and other Intelligence Community enterprises,” Douglas Steil, BAE Systems Cyber Security Products general manager, said. “We created a superior product predicated on design patterns outlined by the NSA (National Security Agency), and have proven XTS Guard 7’s readiness to deliver operational success for a number of U.S. government entities and agencies.”
The system allows a multidirectional transfer of different data types across classified and unclassified domains with advanced administration and auditing. It is built to support the plug-in of leading content filters and includes a “STOP” operating system feature that reducing security vulnerabilities. It is compatible with Data Format Description Language libraries.
The system supports up to 28 enclaves or domains but is available in a smaller version that handles up to 10 domains. The smaller version is designed for air, sea, and land vehicle deployments.
BAE Systems offers an upgrade option for existing and accredited XTS Guard 5 customers. The option is available to customers who need to meet the NSA’s Raise the Bar cyber-security initiative standards.
