Northrop Grumman details facility construction in New Mexico

Northrop Grumman Corporation officials said the technology company has initiated construction on a new facility supporting Kirtland Air Force Base and military customers in Albuquerque, N.M.

The company said the 25,000-square-foot site is slated to open in early 2023 to support national security space business operations, space system mission management, and cybersecurity missions.

“This expansion will enhance our ability to support our customers’ missions as their national security space needs evolve,” Northrop Grumman National Security Systems Vice President Troy Brashear said. “In addition to creating new aerospace jobs, we look forward to working alongside our local customers as Albuquerque flourishes as a hub for advanced space technology initiatives to protect our country.”

The venue is also slated to address space system mission management and operations, as well as cybersecurity, Northrop Grumman officials noted, adding the company is the first organization to announce intentions to occupy a stand-alone building at the mixed-use development.

Northrop Grumman officials said its solutions equip customers with capabilities to connect, advance, and protect the nation and its allies through a shared purpose to solve its customers’ toughest problems defined daily by 90,000 employees.
