NCSA appoints Nassar and Sedova to board of directors

The National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) recently appointed Sami Nassar and Masha Sedova to its board of directors.

Nassar currently serves as vice president of cybersecurity solutions for NXP Semiconductors, while Sedona is a senior director of trust engagement at Salesforce.

“Not only are NXP and Salesforce creating innovative products, but they are also working continuously to establish a culture of cybersecurity,” Michael Kaiser, executive director for NCSA, said. “It is abundantly clear that both Sami and Masha – along with their colleagues, partners and associates – are dedicated to making the internet safer and more secure. NCSA is also extremely grateful for both organizations’ support of the recently launched Lock Down Your Login campaign. As the world becomes more and more connected, NXP and Salesforce’s steadfast commitment to strengthening the future of cybersecurity is a complementary and natural fit with NCSA’s mission and ongoing work.”

NXP manufactures chips for Internet of Things (IoT) devices such as smart cars, smart homes and smart wearables. Additionally, NXP focuses much of its efforts on end-to-end security and privacy for users with connected devices. Salesforce focuses its service in the privacy of customer data segment.

“From day one, trust has been our #1 value at Salesforce,” Sedova said. ”We are excited to partner with NCSA to help make the internet safer for business and individuals alike.”

Both NXP and Salesforce publicly support the National Cyber Security Awareness Month in October.

The NCSA is a nationwide nonprofit organization promoting cybersecurity and privacy education awareness.
