MITRE Corporation elects Rogers and Minehan to board of trustees

The MITRE Corporation recently elected former U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (R-MI) and Cathy E. Minehan to its board of trustees.

Rogers previously served as a U.S. House member from Michigan’s eighth congressional district for a total of seven terms. In the House, he worked as a member of the Energy and Commerce Committee while also chairing the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI). While serving as chairman, Rogers oversaw a budget of approximately $70 billion that funded the nation’s 17 intelligence agencies.

Minehan is currently a managing director of Arlington Advisory Partners, LLC in Boston, Massachusetts. From 2011-2016, she served as the dean for the School of Management at Simmons College. Prior to her time at Simmons, she was the president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston for 13 years. Minehan was previously a member of MITRE’s board of trustees from 2009-2012.

“Mr. Rogers and Ms. Minehan have distinguished themselves as leaders in their respective areas,” MITRE President and CEO Alfred Grasso said. “The insights Mr. Rogers brings to MITRE from his experience in cybersecurity and intelligence will strengthen our ability to serve the public interest and our sponsors.”

MITRE is a non-profit organization that operates federally funded research and development centers (FFRDCs) that work with the federal government on scientific research, development and acquisitions, and systems engineering and integration.
