The Seattle-based Mobile Performance Management software company, NetMotion Software, recently released the world’s first mobile intelligence and analytics solution that captures network and security data across any wireless network, called Diagnostics 4.0.
NetMotion said the software gives IT organizations key security and operational data from public networks, private networks,
Wi-Fi, carriers, from both inside and outside the firewall, to help manage their employees. The software collects diagnostics in real-time and offers location services for troubleshooting and support in the field.
Diagnostics 4.0 also allows IT-based decision makers to examine the security and productivity of their employees, while giving a clear view of each employee’s mobile experience and optimization level.
“Inevitably, mobile business workers will connect to a network other than their own organization’s secure corporate network,” Bryan Bassett, research analyst at the International Data Corporation, said. “Examples abound from public Wi-Fi to home networks or connecting to a cellular providers’ broadband network. These unknown or unsecured networks can potentially expose the user or the user’s data to malicious attacks, increasing the chance of a security breach.”
NetMotion noted that the software has full support for iOS-based devices, along with multiple adapter support for Windows platforms.
Diagnostics 4.0 is currently available as a cloud-based software as a service (SaaS) or as an on-premises application.
