Professional services and technologies firm KBR has secured a $26.8 million task order to provide additional Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) cybersecurity engineering support.
The agreement aids the AFLCMC’s Engineering Directorate Cyber Systems Engineering Division in accordance with the Department of Defense (DoD) Information Analysis Center’s (IAC) Cyber Security and Information Systems Technical Area Task (CSTAT).

The scope of work includes KBR developing cybersecurity frameworks for Air Force command and control (C2) and rapid cyber acquisition (RCA) customers while also providing system and software security, mission assurance, risk management and resilience in developing, implementing, training, verifying and executing cybersecurity strategies.
Authorities maintain system cybersecurity is essential to secure operation of key assets that include fighter, bomber, and remotely piloted aircraft.
KBR officials said the firm offers among its services software engineering and development; data analytics, computer network management, defense and support; cyber certification and accreditation; cyber policy development, translation, and training; vulnerability assessment and evaluation; utility monitoring and control; health IT; and cloud security.
