U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) forces have conducted Operation Rough Rider, a campaign targeting the Houthi terrorist organization in Yemen, since March 15.

Forces include the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group, the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group and two Carrier Strike Groups.

There have been more than 800 targets struck, killing numerous Houthi leaders and hundreds of Houthi fighters. This includes senior Houthi missile and unmanned aerial vehicle officials. In addition, multiple advanced weapons manufacturing facilities, advanced weapons storage locations, air defense systems, and command-and-control facilities were destroyed.

The storage facilities housed advanced conventional weapons that were used in Houthi terrorist attacks on international shipping lanes. These include anti-ship ballistic and cruise missiles, unmanned aerial systems, and uncrewed surface vessels.

“While the Houthis have continued to attack our vessels, our operations have degraded the pace and effectiveness of their attacks,” USCENTCOM said in a statement. “Ballistic missile launches have dropped by 69 percent. Additionally, attacks from one way attack drones have decreased by 55 percent.

“U.S. strikes destroyed the ability of Ras Isa Port to accept fuel which will begin to impact Houthi ability to not only conduct operations, but also to generate millions of dollars in revenue for their terror activities.”
