CyberVista launches to aid cybersecurity training for business leaders

The Graham Holdings Company announced last week at CES in Las Vegas that its new subsidiary, CyberVista, will be launched as a cybersecurity education and workforce development venture.

The new company aims to teach new cybersecurity tactics through personalized training programs to protect company’s most valuable assets. President and Chief Executive Officer of Graham Holdings Company Timothy O’Shaughnessy spoke on why the new venture was a needed asset for businesses going forward.

“There is a documented cyber workforce shortage that continues to grow,” O’Shaughnessy said. “With the strength of our company coupled with the world-class education expertise gleaned from Kaplan, CyberVista is well-equipped to meet this critical need in the market.”

CyberVista will be partnering with Kaplan, Inc., a sister company to Graham Holdings, for this venture. Kaplan will provide its expertise in developing training exercises in conjunction with current intelligence professionals to deliver a seamless educational product. The initial product offering would provide executives with a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity issues that affect businesses while reducing overall risk.

In addition to the educational platform, CyberVista will introduce a cybersecurity certification preparation program for IT professionals.
