Defense Threat Reduction Agency awards $35 million contract to Engility Holdings for nuclear consulting

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) recently awarded a $35 million contract to Engility Holdings, Inc. to provide specialized advisory services to the organization’s Nuclear Enterprise Support Directorate.

The Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract has a one year base period and four one-year options.

Provisions in the contract include providing modeling and simulation, nuclear and countering weapons of mass destruction (WMD) exercises, and specialized expertise. Engility will also provide nuclear safety and surety assessments, accountability, mission assurance assessments, training, information technology services, and program management support.

“Over the past four decades, DTRA has relied on our team’s expertise to support their vital mission of protecting the U.S. from weapons of mass destruction,” Lynn Dugle, CEO of Engility, said. “This contract solidifies our nation’s nuclear strategies.”

Serving as the official Combat Support Agency for countering weapons of mass destruction in the Department of Defense (DoD), the Defense Threat Reduction Agency acts to secure the United States from global WMD threats, such as chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive-type (CBRNE) threats.

Engility is a provider of integrated solutions and services that support the U.S. government’s defense, federal civilian, intelligence and space sectors.
