A total of 50 full-time and part-time positions with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will see applicants fast-tracked during a one-day event at the Boston Logan International Airport in March.

The move, undertaken in advance of increased travel generally seen during the summer season, will grant prospective hires starting pay of $20.72 per hour, with opportunities for later pay increases. For attendees to the hiring event, information sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., though between those sessions and preliminary hiring, individual sessions could take up to five hours.

Applicants will be given a Computerized Battery Test (CBT), be interviewed and have their fingerprints taken. Medical exams will be scheduled for later dates. To speed up the process, the TSA is also allowing applicants to pre-apply online before attending. Information provided will include discussion of benefits and insight into working for the federal government.
