Curtiss-Wright Corporation officials said the firm has secured Navy contracts totaling $100 million to provide pumps for the military branch’s Virginia-class submarine, Columbia-class submarine and Ford-class aircraft carrier programs.

“Curtiss-Wright is proud to have been awarded these significant naval defense contracts, which build upon our rich heritage and long-standing relationship with the U.S. Nuclear Navy,” Lynn M. Bamford, president and CEO of Curtiss-Wright Corporation, said. “Since the inception of nuclear-powered ships, Curtiss-Wright’s commitment to providing the safest, most advanced and reliable technologies has ensured our ongoing participation in these important defense programs, which continue to receive strong Congressional support.”

Authorities indicated the awards were received via Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. (BPMI) in support of ship construction.

The work is slated to be executed at the Curtiss-Wright Corporation’s Cheswick, Pa. venue, officials said, within the Naval & Power Segment.

The firm was previously awarded contracts to provide propulsion valves, pumps and advanced instrumentation and control systems valued at more than $130 million.

For over 60 years the company has supplied high-performance products for every nuclear submarine and aircraft carrier commissioned by the Navy while delivering engineered, critical function products and services to Aerospace and Defense markets and commercial markets that include Power, Process and General Industrial.
